Dave Hansen Whitewater Rafting Adventures

Dave Hansen pioneered commercial whitewater rafting on the Snake River in 1967. For over 35 years they have conducted safe, quality, scenic and whitewater float trips along the Snake River, Wyoming, and our rafting service record is unmatched in Jackson Hole.

Their guides are dedicated river enthusiasts with experience gained through endless miles of boating on rivers throughout the United States. They teach their guests the proper way to paddle, how to work as a team, and about the elements of the river and the river ecosystem.

Whether you are a first time river runner or an experienced veteran, they have a trip for you. They offer whitewater trips for the more adventurous, and scenic floats for those who are looking for a tranquil river experience.

8 Mile Whitewater Trip
More than just a river trip - it’s a lesson in whitewater! If your interest stretches beyond the beauty of a river and the splendor of this canyon this trip is for you. An experienced guide conducts the trip and you provide the paddle power. Listen as your guide explains the technique of an eddy stop or a ferry. Feel the river on your paddle as you put these techniques to practice. Basic river safety and other whitewater topics are all part of the trip. You will leave the river with a new appreciation for this river, this canyon, and the desire to search for others like it.
8- Mile Whitewater on the Special 8-Man Raft

Turn It Up A Notch by requesting the special 8-Man Raft! A shorter version of the regular paddle raft, this raft is geared toward more aggressive paddlers. This is a very popular boat with limited space, and must be requested at time of booking.

16-Mile Scenic/Whitewater Combo
This trip combines the serene beauty of a gentle float with the excitement of paddling through rapids in the Grand Canyon of the Snake River. The 8-Mile Scenic Float begins at Pritchard Creek and you float past the nesting area of our national bird the American Bald Eagle. The river is home to a variety of waterfowl and native mammals including the Moose, largest of the Deer species. Early morning is the watering time for most animals along the river, and affords the best opportunity for wildlife viewing. By mid-morning it is break time at West Table on the banks of the Snake. No travel between trips - The scenic float ends were the whitewater action begins! Now it's time to stow away all “perishables” and gear up for the most asked for activity in Jackson Hole - Whitewater in the Grand Canyon of the Snake River. The rapids names say it all – Three Oar Deal, Big Kahuna, Lunch Counter, and Rope, all waiting to take you for a ride. Come join the fun for a truly memorable experience. Complimentary Picnic Lunch Included.
