Property Overview

Gemütlichkeit in the Tetons. What is Gemütlichkeit? There is no English translation of this Austrian word, but imagine a cozy, historic, welcoming mountain inn with a roaring fire, deep chairs, fabulous food, delicious wines and hot drinks, great friends, lots of laughter and music. It is an atmosphere that welcomes you with open arms, makes you feel instantly at home and says there is no rush, take your time, relax, enjoy, be happy and content. This is where life is good, people are friendly, atmosphere genuine, and you never want to leave!
The Alpenhof goes back to the very beginning of Teton Village, when the Swiss German owners purchased the prime location at the resort, designing their intimate retreat to reflect the charm and gaeity of the fine country inns of their homeland. With just 42 rooms, our goal is to combine the warmth and personalized service of a bed and breakfast with the amenities of a full-service hotel.

Edelweiss Jr. Suite

The Edelweiss is our best room and is one of the nicest rooms in Teton Village. It has hand carved panels on the walls and beautifully carved wooden beams on the ceiling. The furnishings are hand crafted as well, and imported from Germany. The Edelweiss has a King bed, fireplace with a sitting area, a balcony and large semi-private deck. The room is also nicely appointed with a wet bar with a small refrigerator, as well as a heated tile floor, heated towel racks, jetted tub, and His & Her vanity areas in the bathroom. This room is perfect for those who want to experience the very best of European charm in Teton Village.

Jungfrau Jr. Suite

The luxurious Jungfrau room has a King bed. The East wall is rock, giving the room a rugged beauty that matches the beauty of surrounding mountains. Another wall features a carved wooden panel. Finely detailed hand carved ceiling beams and furniture imported from Germany give this room its charm and true Bavarian feel. The Jungfrau has a wood burning fireplace and opens on to a large semi private deck. The bathroom is nicely appointed with a heated tile floor, heated towel rack, and jetted tub.

Alpine Fireplace Rooms

These rooms are perfect for hopeless romantics who enjoy the crackling of a warm fire during a winter’s night. In summer, the balcony provides a perfect opportunity for mountain star gazing. Cozy Alpine rooms have a King bed and a sleeper sofa. Each has hand crafted Bavarian furniture and a balcony. Enjoy down comforters and plush robes. All Alpine rooms have a private bath, telephone, cable TV, and a hairdryer.

Arlberg Family Suite

This two bedroom, two bathroom Suite decorated in casual Bavarian motif is ideal for families. Furnishings are hand painted with decorative artwork. One bedroom has a Queen bed with a full bathroom, including a single jetted tub. The second bedroom has two Queen beds and bathroom. The living room has a Queen size sofa bed, wet bar with a small refrigerator and a table and chairs. The rate on this room assumes 5 people. Although the Arlberg Family Suite has its charm, please know it is a modest suite of rooms. Tyrolean Rooms

Tyrolean rooms are beautifully appointed with hand carved furniture and Tyrolean decor. Tyrolean rooms are more serene than our Bavarian rooms being surrounded by large pines and also feature semi-private balconies. These rooms are large and comfortable, include a King bed or two Queens, and great for families with older children, or for those who prefer more floor space.

Bavarian Rooms

These comfortable, mid-sized rooms feature hand carved furniture and are decorated in the Bavarian tradition. Some adjoining rooms are available, offering privacy and space for a family. Bavarian rooms are available with one King bed or two Double beds.

Dolomite Rooms

Though small, these rooms are still charming with hand carved Bavarian furniture and one Queen bed. Located on our 2nd and 3rd floors, some overlook the pool or are north facing. These rooms are perfect for a less expensive romantic getaway or for the single traveler.

Gable Rooms

Our country rustic Gable Rooms’  furniture and headboards are hand painted by local artists with a decorative Bavarian decor. The gabled ceilings with wood paneling give our smallest rooms a true Alpine loft feel. They are located on our fourth floor with the elevator accessible to our 3rd floors requiring to climb a short flight of stairs. Gable rooms are available with one Queen or two Double beds.

The Alpenrose
At the Alpenrose we meld time-honored Swiss cuisine with contemporary flourishes, breathing new life in the tradition of Alpine-inspired dining. The Alpenrose is a yearly recipient of the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence. It was, along with one other, the first Wyoming restaurant granted this award.
The Bistro
If you prefer more casual dining, experience our Bistro. Whether enjoying lunch on the flower laden decks in summer, apres-ski after an exhilarating day of skiing, or dining besides our expansive windows, you will understand why the Bistro is a local favorite. Aprés Ski- After your last run down Rendezvous Mountain, the place to talk the talk is The Alpenhof Bar & Bistro. Micro brews, wine specials, appetizers, and Jackson Hole’s only cheese or chocolate fondues. A roaring fire, live entertainment and the friendliest crowd in Teton Village is aprés ski Bistro style.
