This spectacular Resort is approximately 12 miles northwest of Jackson Hole Wyoming adjacent to Grand Teton National Park. The ski resort is rapidly becoming the most popular ski resort in Wyoming and the Western United States. The mountain resort rises more than 4,000-vertical feet above the valley floor and offers varied terrain. This resort features superb snow conditions with detailed snow reports and attracts expert and beginner skiers and snowboarders alike from around the world. The base of mountain resort are luxury lodging rentals including, superior condominiums, home rentals, log cabin rentals, restaurants, bars and gift shops.
With an average annual snowfall of 460 inches, the powder at the Jackson Hole Ski Resort is usually deep with minimal lift lines-except for the busy holidays. First opened in 1965, the resort has slowly become one of the most renowned ski areas in the nation. The area also features luxury lodging rentals including, superior condominiums, moderate condominiums, home rentals, condo rentals and log cabin rentals. There are also many restaurants with fine dining as well as casual pizza and deli facilities. It also has night - life at the Mangy Moose during the season with live music. There are other lounges, gift shops and sports stores in the area at the base of Teton Village.
The DATES OF OPERATION of the Aerial Tram and lifts are around December 6, through April 4 in the winter months and during the summer months from June though September for Aerial tram rides. The hours of operation are 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. daily, weather & business conditions permitting.
The ski runs are 50% expert, 40% intermediate and 10% beginner. The mountain also boasts several lifts including one aerial tram• One eight person high speed gondola, two detachable quad chairlifts, four fixed grip quad chairlifts, one triple chairlift, one double chairlift and a toddler beginner lift called the magic carpet. The Ski Resort has 160 acres of snowmaking coverage to keep the slopes in good condition throughout the ski season.
Our daily weather report can assist you with planning your trip. Visitors should bring plenty of warm clothes for all seasons as the mountain can produce dramatic changes in temperatures year round. The average temperature is 21 degrees Fahrenheit in the valley in the winter months. Temperature inversions caused by warm air rising and cold air staying on the valley floor will raise slope temperatures by 20-40°
Lift tickets in the winter and aerial tram rides in the summer can be purchased at the tram building year round. Ski packages are available to those booking lodging early and discounted lift tickets must be purchased at time of booking. Other ski passes are available for locals and those spending extended periods of time in the area.
The Jackson Hole Ski and Snowboard School offers individual instruction, video evaluations, race clinics, guide service and Wild West Adrenaline Camp Series. There are also fun camps for Skiers and Snowboarders at various times of the ski season. The Bridger Center is home to Jackson Hole Sports Shop featuring rentals, a demo center, apparel and Hole in the Wall Snowboard Shop. There is food and beverages at Bridger Bagel serving fresh starbucks coffee. The resort hosts other winter activities such as snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, dog sledding and telemark adventures. There are mountain guide tours available into Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks for all activities.
Restaurants at the resort include the western style lodge called Casper Restaurant, a large mid-mountain facility.
At the tram dock is Nick Wilson's Cowboy Café that serves breakfast and lunch during winter and summer seasons. The Thunder Snack Shack is conveniently located at base of Thunder Quad Lift. Corbet's Cabin and Snack bar is located at the top of the Tram and is also open in the summer and winter months. During the winter, the Solitude Cabin Dinner Sleigh Rides offer a fun and unique fine dining every night at a rustic log cabin nestled in the woods. Two horse drawn carriages take guests for a tour into the History of Jackson Hole with this fun adventure. The lifestyles of the local wranglers and service providers at the rustic cabin offer visitors an experience to remember.
