With sunny days that segue to perfect nights we’ve got you covered on what music not to miss. From legends to soon to be legends this music lineup has a little a bit of everything to get your body moving.<\/p>\n

Grand Teton Music Festival
\n<\/a>What better way to celebrate the pomp and circumstance of the 4th of July then treating yourself to some classical music this summer. Enjoy Music in the Hole<\/em> with musical selections from Sousa to Tchaikosvky at Walk Festival Hall at 6pm. It’s even free, but ticket required.<\/p>\n

Pink Garter Theatre
\n<\/a>The Pink Garter, one of the hippest joints in town and a killer place to see a show , kicks it off with some deep funk by Brooklyn’s own Budos Band on July 6th. They call their sound “Afro Soul” but it blends jazz, funk, afro beat and soul, to create some seriously tight sounds that will get every single body moving in the club. Check out some big city sound in the mountains. Tickets are $22-$25.<\/p>\n

\"Summer<\/a>
G, Love and Special Sauce July 7th at the Pink Garter Theatre.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

G. Love and Special Sauce keep the vibe going at the Pink Garter when they return to the valley on July 7th. This band has been around since ’93 and basically created the genre of alternative hip hop. Front man, G. Love, comes off like a modern day Bob Dylan with a guitar and harmonica put to dope beats. This band always put on a fun show and are not to be missed. Tickets run $27.50-$30.<\/p>\n

Center for the Arts
\n<\/a>The acclaimed jazz legend Pat Metheny has been holding it down since the 70’s with his guitar. Your parent’s probably have at least one of his countless albums on vinyl in the basement. He rolls into the Center for the Arts July 24th as the Pat Metheny Unit Group along with Bruce Hornsby and Sonny Emory. Not everyday you get to see a legend live in concert. Tickets start at $150.<\/p>\n

Everyone remembers Chris Isaak’s steamy black and white music video on the beach with Helena Christensen, but he’s also been churning out album after album for decades in his trademark sound of rockabilly, country, with a nod to the golden era of Sun Studios. Catch Chris Isaak live at the Center for the Arts on August 11th. Tickets start at $95.<\/p>\n

Jackson Hole Live
\n<\/a>Music in a club is the classic setting, but there’s nothing better than summer music in Jackson Hole outdoors. The Jackson Hole Live series delivers the goods and is the perfect outdoor venue at the base of Snow King Resort. Must see, Trombone Shorty, is a trombone legend in the making. He grew up in the Treme neighborhood of New Orleans, and no Treme is not just a show on HBO, but where this young prodigy earned his chops. Mark your calendars for the August 13th concert of Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue. Oh and did I mention it’s FREE.
