The fourth is a day set aside for this great country to celebrate its independence. It\u2019s kind of like a birthday party and everyone in the country is invited. Although it\u2019s probably not your first 4th of July, it may be your first time celebrating in Jackson Hole and we do things a little bit different and bigger around here. It\u2019s a great way to officially kick off the summer and there\u2019s no where better to be than right here in Jackson Hole celebrating with Uncle Sam.<\/p>\n

Music<\/b><\/h2>\n

Red White and Two – <\/i><\/strong>July 3, 2015<\/strong>
\n<\/i>Technically, not the fourth quite yet, as this is more of an appetizer to the big day to come, but it\u2019s still a great chance to have a lot of fun and see some live music at Teton Village. It\u2019s the first day of two nights of free music concerts at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. For lineup and more info go to jacksonhole.com<\/a><\/p>\n

JacksonHoleLive – <\/i><\/strong>July 3, 2015<\/strong>
\n<\/i>Jackson\u2019s favorite free summer concert sets the table for all the fun festivities of the fourth with a concert on the third. Hey it\u2019s Friday night why wouldn\u2019t you check out the sounds of Jared & The Mill at Snow King Ball Field. This group from Phoenix defies easy categorization, so if you dig bluegrass, folk, and Americana you\u2019ll be in for a great night. Jackson Hole Live – July 4, 2015<\/strong>
\n<\/i>The lineup on the 4th for JacksonHoleLive this year is billed as \u201cChicken Fried Bluegrass \u2019N Fireworks\u201d, what more could you really ask for? Local favorites One Ton Pig get heavy with the tunes and blend folk, country, jazz, gospel, bluegrass, and rock all into their signature six-piece sound at Snow King Ball Park. In addition to the music, enjoy family fun activities and local food from Cafe Genevieve, Everest Momo Shack, Haydens Post, The Indian, Kim\u2019s Corner, and Pinky G\u2019s Pizzeria. Music in the Hole by Grand Teton Music Festival<\/strong>
\n<\/i>Festival Orchestra – Music in the Hole is a free concert with tickets, but unfortunately it\u2019s sold out as of this writing. This patriotic pops concert with the Festival Orchestra, featuring soloist Doug LaBrecque, and conducted by Music Director Maestro Donald Runnicles is a great chance to hear arrangements from Copland, Berlin, and Tchaikovsky to name just a few. Food & Festivities<\/b><\/h2>\n

Pancake Breakfast on the Town Square<\/strong>
\n<\/i>It\u2019s a tradition around these parts and how the Fourth of July gets kicked off every year in Jackson. It\u2019s a long day and night around here celebrating the birth of this great nation, so make sure to treat yourself right and fuel up on pancakes at the Pancake Breakfast on the Town Square, which is presented by the Jackson Hole Lions Club. Oh and did we say there will be pancakes, glorious pancakes? Get your own stack from 7 am to 10 am.<\/p>\n

4th of July Parade<\/strong>
\n<\/i>Nothing is quite as patriotic as a parade on the fourth in a small town. Now take that small town and put it in the Tetons and you have the ultimate patriotic celebration. The Jackson Hole 4th of July Parade is a local salute to Uncle Sam with floats, horses, roller skates, clowns, hot rods, music, and more. The parade starts at 10:30 am and makes it way around town. Grab a spot on the square for optimal viewing.<\/p>\n

Jackson Hole Rodeo<\/strong>
\n<\/i>The Jackson Hole Rodeo is as American as fireworks and apple pie and it just happens to be running on Independence Day as well. Come down to the rodeo and check out some real cowboys and cowgirls keeping this western tradition alive with such action packed events like Bull Riding, Bronc Riding, Barrel Racing, and Roping. Fireworks<\/strong>
\n<\/i>Don\u2019t worry you may not be in the nation\u2019s capital, but you\u2019ll still be able to see plenty of fireworks in Jackson. A fourth without fireworks would be like eating Smores without marshmallows or chocolate, and well nobody wants that. With not one, but two locations to watch fireworks this year in Jackson the Tetons will surely be lit up with a wonderful and unforgettable light show. Both shows start at 10 pm so, you\u2019ll have to pick which one is a better fit for you depending on where you are celebrating. Enjoy the fireworks in the town of Jackson at the base of Snow King Mountain or see them out at the legendary ski resort in Teton Village.
