On a hillside thick with Aspen lies Teton View Manor, a stately home built from weathered barn wood and stacked farm stone overlooking the majestic valley and mountains. Belying its recent construction, the manor seems deeply suited to its Skyline site, as though it has commanded this breathtaking view for a long while.
Uncluttered and elegant, Teton Manor draws design inspiration from the Arts and Crafts movement as much as the silhouettes of the Tetons, visible through the many picture windows. No detail went unnoticed in this 2,800 square foot home. A vaulted ceiling arches over the kitchen, dining room and great room.
In the gourmet kitchen, a professional stove, center island and granite countertops encourage culinary creativity. Just off the kitchen, an office allows for professional interludes on its granite workspace.
The dining room comfortably seats 10, and shares a tall stacked-stone gas fireplace with the living room. A radiant heating system keeps the hardwood and stone floors decadently warm.
The master bedroom features a king bed, two walk-in closets and a flat screen TV, as well as a private bathroom with double sinks, a steam shower, jetted-soaking tub and separate toilets. The two guest bedrooms both have queen beds and coffered ceilings, and share a full bath.
Downstairs, the media room is outfitted with a huge flat screen TV, high performance stereo system, and a deep sectional sofa. A game room – replete with a ping pong table and marble bar – can be transformed into a fifth bedroom upon request (two twin beds can replace the ping pong table; the ping pong table can then move to garage or patio for undeterred recreation).
Outside, a wide stone patio welcomes entertaining with a grill, hot tub and fire pit, and, at night, a broad ceiling of stars. At the end of a stone walkway above the house lies a sunning patio, encouraging further relaxation.
