Jackson Hole Mountain Resort

Located a scenic 12 miles north of Jackson Hole Wyoming is Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, the largest and most popular ski area in Wyoming. With more than 4,000-vertical feet of varied terrain, this ski resort in Jackson Hole draws expert and beginner skiers and snowboarders alike from around the world. Situated at the base of the mountain is the Teton Village, better known as the Village. At the resort are great slopeside hotels for Jackson Hole lodging, condominiums, rental homes, and restaurants.

With an average annual snowfall of 450 inches, the powder at Resort is usually deep with minimal lift lines, except for the busy holidays. First opened in 1965, the Mountain has slowly become one of the most renowned ski areas in Wyoming and the Western United States.

With more than 2,500 acres of terrain spread over two adjacent mountains, the Resort boasts runs that exceed four miles and offers 24 miles of groomed trails. The only way to the summit of 10,450-foot Rendezvous Mountain is aboard one of two 63-passenger Aerial Tramcars. See our skiing information for more mountain statistics, details restaurants and information.

Sitting at 8,841-feet, Après Vous Mountain offers exciting skiing on more friendly slopes for those who are in the beginner to intermediate level. In addition, you can ride a gondola, three quad chairs, a triple chair, double chair and Poma lift. The resort also features a half-pipe, terrain park and Kids Ranch, which provides supervised daycare.

On-the-mountain facilities at the Resort include Casper Restaurant at the bottom of Casper Bowl and Corbets Cabin Restaurant at the top of the Tram. When the weather permits, the Thunder Mid-mountain snack shop, located at the base of the Thunder Chair, also has drinks and snacks.

In the summer, the Resort transforms into a mountain bikers, hikers and sightseers paradise, with the Aerial Tram remaining in service to ferry outdoor enthusiasts to the top of Rendezvous Mountain. This is a great starting point for overnight backpacking trips into the Grand Teton National Park. With more than seven miles of service roads, mountain bikers have the opportunity to pedal mixed terrain both up and downhill. Visitors will also be treated to an array of colorful wildflowers and wildlife.
